De passage à Paris, nous avons rencontré Nicolas Chenus, rédacteur en chef du magazine GRAFFITI ART. Une interview en terrasse et une séance photo franchement amusante sous le regard surpris des passants. Merci Nico pour cet après-midi fort sympathique ; ne t'inquiète pas, le prototype va bien.

Notre ami Tan-Ki travaille comme un forçat sur la réalisation de notre site internet. On aime tellement ce qu'il fait qu'on lui a même demandé de réaliser le design pour la boîte du PLAYING ART DIY.

Christian Schupp (www.aroone.de) a réalisé avec ses partenaires du SNNC (style needs no color!) un livre, "SCHWARZ AUF WEISS", qui devrait sortir fin octobre avec 100 artistes dedans (Angry Woebots, Aro, Aryz, Biser, Duster132, Dome, Dust, ECB, Elr°y, Erase&Arsek, Eric Hancock, Ezra, Hombre, Karl Toon, Magic, Monsta, Nychos, Tasso, Wes21, Yusk, Zmogk, ... et plein d'autres). Le livre est publié par Fromheretofame, il me tarde de l'avoir en mains !

Au fait, Christian Schupp c'est le même Aro qui a fait un design pour la première série de PLAYING ART. ;)

Ceux qui ont suivi nos aventures depuis le début se souviennent certainement de nos mascottes Marcel & Jessica dessinées par notre ami Tizieu et modelisées par Dgé. Et bien, j'ai une nouvelle pour vous : Les prototypes sont en cours, les volumes sont magnifiques et l'artiste saute de joie à chaque image que l'usine nous envoie. En attendant de vous montrer des images des sculptures, Tizieu nous envoie quelques visuels de ses créations. Prenez garde Marcel se prépare et son papa est en pleine forme...

For those who followed our adventures from the beginning, you may certainly remember our mascots Marcel & Jessica designed by our friend Tizieu and 3D modelled by Dgé. Well, I have some news for you: The samples are under process, the volumes are beautiful and the artist jumps for joy at every new picture from the plant. While waiting to show you some photo of the sculptures, Tizieu sent us some nice images of his creations. Beware Marcel is getting ready and his dad's in top ...

On est comme ça !

- Au Tibet, le singe est symbole de la conscience qui saute d'un objet à l'autre comme le singe saute de branche en branche. C'est l'ancêtre des tibétains, fils du ciel et de la terre, né de la division de l'œuf primordial.
- En Inde, le roi singe représente adresse, spontanéité, fantaisie et dissipation.
- En Égypte, le dieu Thot, grand cynocéphale blanc est le patron des savants et des lettrés. C'est un artiste, ami des fleurs, des fêtes et un magicien puissant. Il est le maître du temps. Mais en temps que Baba, le mâle d'entre les babouins, il est querelleur, lubrique et baveux.
- Chez les Aztèques et les Mayas, les gens nés sous le signe du singe sont experts dans les arts, chanteurs, orateurs, écrivains sculpteurs ou industrieux et doués pour l'artisanat. Il est aussi chez les Aztèques comme chez les Fali du Nord Cameroun un avatar du forgeron voleur de feu.
- Pour les Indiens Bororo, il invente le feu. Le singe est un malicieux magicien masquant ses pouvoirs, dont le premier est l'intelligence, sous des aspects caricaturaux.
- En Grèce, les cercopithèques sont à l'origine les Cercopes, bandits de grands chemins, géants qui se sont attaqués à Hercule. Ficelés pour être vendus ils le mirent de bonne humeur par des plaisanteries et Heracles les relâcha mais irrité par leur vie de brigandage, Zeus les transforma en singes. Cette image du singe voleur se retrouve aussi chez les indiens Winebago aux USA.
- Dans l'iconographie chrétienne le singe est souvent l'image de l'homme dégradé par ses vices et en particulier la luxure et la malice. L'analyse rejoint cette idée en y voyant une image d'indécence, de lubricité, d'agitation, d'insolence et de vanité ; caricature du MOI, brutale, cupide et lascive.

Après le prototype fait main, voici celui préparé par l'usine, issu directement des fichiers numériques 3D et donc parfaitement conforme.
Une légère modification au niveau de la queue et la préparation des moules va pouvoir être lancée ! Quelle excitation !
